Hey everyone, this blog documents my first time in London. See a video below with some clips of the day :)

Visiting London for the first time was such a great experience! This was one of the cities I was most excited to see in England. I went with a few other exchange students who had also never been to London so we experienced this great city for the first time together. This adventure was really important for me because it was one of the first times I had left the University of Sussex campus and used public transport in England. We took a train from Falmer station to Brighton and then a train from Brighton to London. Because we all had a railcard, the tickets were very reasonably priced. Also, the type of ticket we bought was valid on all of the underground (aka subway or tube) lines in London. This was great because we were able to go all around London and see lots of the famous tourist attractions. Seeing Big Ben and Westminster Abbey in person was so impressive! We also walked through Soho, saw the London Eye, and saw Buckingham Palace. It was almost surreal seeing all of the important London landmarks in person. I am so excited to visit London again and spend some more time in one area of the city rather than jumping around all day. London can be quite overwhelming because it is so huge, so I think coming back multiple times will help me enjoy the city more. This trip made me so excited to visit other cities in England and also gave me more confidence navigating the public transportation in a big city.
