Hi everyone, my friend Claire and I took a 3 day trip to Edinburgh, Scotland over spring break. Even though we only stayed for a few days we experienced so much. This was one of my favorite trips I’ve been on so far and I would love to come back someday :)

We arrived in Scotland really early and dropped our luggage off at the hostel. We took this time to explore the city and do some shopping. We walked along the Royal Mile all the way to the Holyrood Palace. We didn’t go into the palace because the tickets were quite expensive. Instead, we walked back up the Royal Mile and went to the famous Edinburgh Castle. We spent almost 2.5 hours here and we really loved it. There were great views of the city and we even got to see some of the crown jewels. The next day we did a bus tour of the Scottish highlands. We booked this almost a month in advance because these tours always sell out. The stops on our tour were: Pitlochry, Loch Ness, and Glencoe. Our tour guide was really funny and told us so much about Soctland’s history. I highly recommend doing a tour like thai if you can. The landscape of the Scottish highlands was truly breathtaking. On our final day in Scotland we visited Dean Village and took a tour of a whiskey distillery.
