Hi everyone, two of my friends and I decided to take an overnight weekend trip to London. We had so much fun exploring new areas of the city. We also learned a lot about traveling and staying in hostels because this was a new experience for all of us> Read along to see what we did :)

We arrived in London late on Friday night and took a taxi to our hostel. We had booked this hostel online, and although it was pretty cheap, the reviews and pictures weren’t terrible. We figured that we would not be spending much time in the hostel and so it would be fine if the accommodation wasn’t great. Once we got to the hostel, however, we were really shocked at the state of it. There was little to no organization at the front desk and the condition of the rooms and bathrooms was horrible. Also one of the receptionist workers was actually living in the hostel and stayed in the same room as us. Overall, this hostel gave us really weird/creepy vibes. Lesson to take from our mistakes is that it might be worth it to spend a little bit extra money on a hostel just so you don;t end up somewhere you feel really uncomfortable.

After we arrived at our hostel on Friday night we took the tube into Piccadilly circus. This is a really cool area to visit at night. We walked around Picadilly and Chinatown and got some dinner. The next day we headed to Abbey Road to check out the famous street where the Beatles took the picture of their album cover. Afterwards we went to Notting Hill. We all really loved this area. There were tons of cute shops and lots of street vendors selling jewelry, antiques, clothes, and food. For dinner that night we went to Camden Market. Camden Market also has lots of stores and yummy street food. On Sunday we went to the British Museum, which is so huge! You could probably spend 2 full days here and still not see everything. We picked a few exhibits to check out and we really enjoyed it.
