Hi everyone, I went to Barcelona for the weekend with two friends of mine! It was amazing! See this post for lots of pictures and to learn about everything we did :)
We arrived in Barcelona very late on Friday evening so we took a taxi from the airport and had them drop us off at a restaurant near our hostel. Once we finished eating we walked to the hostel we were staying at, St. Christopher’s Inn. This is a hostel chain and they have locations all over Europe. I highly recommend this hostel. It was very clean and modern.
The next day we decided to explore the city. We walked around the Gothic Quarter and grabbed breakfast in a cafe. There were so many cute streets and lots of shops in this area. Afterwards we headed towards Ciutadella park where there is a beautiful fountain. We also walked by the Arco de Triunfo de Barcelona. For lunch we explored La Rambla and the Boqueria market. We also made reservations to see the famous Sagrada familia cathedral after lunch. This cathedral was so unique and truly breathtaking in person. We ended the day with a delicious Spanish paella dinner.
The next day we decided to head to Park Guell for an amazing city view. The weather was great and the park is so picturesque. We also got an ice cream at the cafe within the park. After this we headed to the beach and had lunch and sangrias. We also made reservations to visit Casa Batllo. This was such a cool place and I have never seen any architecture like it before. For dinner we enjoyed some traditional tapas and afterwards we went to a traditional flamenco show.
This trip was so great and I highly recommend visiting Barcelona if you can!
