I went to Bath with two other study abroad friends of mine for a little day trip, and it was so fun! Here’s everything we did and what I would recommend.

We took a train from Brighton to Bath in the morning around 9:00. Bear in mind that the train will take around 2.5-3 hours so by the time you get there you will be hungry. I highly suggest going to the Sally Lunn restaurant in Bath to try the signature Bath bun. Sadly we did not make a reservation here and the line was very long so we could not get in, but the food looked delicious. Instead we went to a different restaurant for afternoon tea. This was such a fun experience that felt super “English.” Afterward, we walked around the streets of Bath. The whole city is so beautiful and picturesque. All of the buildings are made in the same style and there is a beautiful park in the city center. There are many shops to check out and some great stores selling homemade sweets like fudge and cookies. Bath is also famous for the Roman baths, but we did not visit these as the tickets were quite expensive. Overall, I think Bath is a great city for a day trip if you don’t mind the train ride. It was very easy to walk around because it is not too big. If you are okay spending some extra money I would check out the Roman baths, but the city is still great without!
