My grandparents visited me for part of spring break and we took a small road trip around England and Wales. We visited the Cotswolds, Bristol, and Cardiff. Such a great trip, read along to see what I did :)
Cotswolds- I was so excited to visit the Cotswolds and it did not disappoint! The Cotswolds are an area of the English countryside with lots of small, cute villages. The houses here are all built in a similar style which gives the whole area a really special feeling. The day we arrived, we visited the village of Burford which was close to the bed and breakfast hotel we were staying at. This was a very nice village with lots of local shops and restaurants. There was also a beautiful church. The next day we visited Bourton-on-the-Water. This village is located on a little stream and also has so many small shops to check out. Both lovely places to visit if you have the time! This has been one of my favorite places I’ve visited in England so far.
Bristol- We stayed in Bristol for two nights, but sadly it was very rainy for most of our trip. We still enjoyed checking out this famous city and shopping. There are many beautiful buildings to see as you walk through the streets and a great shopping center that is completely covered (great for rainy weather). Bristol also has a very famous bridge which was very impressive to see.
Cardiff- We only stayed in Cardiff for one night but we were able to see quite a bit of the city. We mainly walked through the city center and visited the famous Cardiff castle which was very impressive. I wish we could have stayed longer here so that we could’ve experienced more of the city.
